At NOVAMINE, we believe that developing talent is just as important as developing engineering solutions. That is why, for the past three years, we have been part of the Nuevos Tesoros program, an initiative that connects the development of local talent with the real needs of the mining value chain.

As part of the Nuevos Tesoros Supplier Meeting, organized by Fundación Minera Escondida | BHP, our Administration and Finance Deputy Manager, Nicolás Valencia Veas, participated in a panel discussion on workforce development, sharing NOVAMINE’s perspective on the skills and competencies the mining industry demands today.

While technical training remains essential, we also look for people who are committed to safety, eager to keep learning, and ready to take on the responsibilities required in an industry that is constantly evolving.

We believe that supporting the development of new talent not only strengthens supplier companies but also helps build a safer, more innovative mining industry that is better prepared for the challenges of the future.
