Born in 2012 from a project promoted by Hidromec, a family company with more than 40 years of experience serving the mining industry, Novamine emerged from the need to optimize critical processes in the maintenance of large-scale mining equipment.It all began when Patricio Giménez, General Manager of Hidromec, identified an opportunity for improvement in the dump body replacement process, a key operation in mining activities. From that observation, he developed a first prototype that became the starting point of an innovation that today has international impact.Under the leadership of Alejandra Giménez, Novamine has evolved into a company capable of designing, manufacturing, and internationalizing high-impact engineering solutions, supported by a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialized technicians in electricity, mechanics, and hydraulics.Among its main developments stands out the KIMBO line, a hydraulic lifting system designed for dump body changes and shovel lifting. This technology has revolutionized the way interventions are carried out in mining operations, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient processes, significantly reducing replacement times and increasing equipment availability.Currently, Novamine has a presence in Chile, Mozambique, Mexico, the United States, Brazil, and Peru, and is working on expanding into Australia, South Africa, and Canada, key markets for global mining.
